Campbell & Connolly

CAMPBELL & CONNOLLY was a short-lived partnership of HH CAMPBELL and Daniel CONNOLLY, as builders and contractors at Warwick from early 1894 until January 1896 when the partnership was dissolved. Early on they sought sub-contractors for the supply of stumps, brickwork, painting and glazing, and plumber’s work but throughout 1895, they practised as designers supplying plans and specifications, persistently advertising “practical plans and specifications second to none and at prices to suit the times” notwithstanding that their claim of a saving of 25% was not substantiated by their tenders for other architects’ designs. In December they called tenders for a large residence at Clifton before the partnership was dissolved in January 1896.
