Baird & Campbell

BAIRD & CAMPBELLwas a short-lived partnership from 1879-1883 of John BAIRD and HH CAMPBELL contractors of Warwick who also offered to prepare plans and specifications. Both were recent arrivals from Scotland and active in the Caledonian Society and the Presbyterian Church. The partnership was dissolved in March 1883 when Baird moved to Southport in a vain effort to arrest the tuberculosis which resulted in his death in July. Baird & Campbell were contractors for at least the fitout and furnishing of the Presbyterian Church at Goondiwindi in 1879.
