Bailey, Richard William

BAILEY, Richard William (1842–1912) was born in Charlton, Hampshire, England, son of James Bailey, a farmer and miller, and Charity Turner. He married Fanny Elizabeth Crook in Gomeldon, Wiltshire on 19 August 1869. They arrived in Brisbane c1874 and by 1875 he was farming at Toowoomba but was listed as an architect there in 1878. When he died at Southbook, his occupation was given as farmer. A son Frederic Turner Bailey (1880–1955) was a carpenter.
